A DAZED TRIP TO WINONA
A Dazed Trip to Winona uses glitched photos and style transfer. Each team member took two photos around Winona as their source photos. Team members were then asked to do a style transfer for each image. The final work cycles through the photos at a fast pace to provide a sort of stylistic animation. If we look at glitches as they are usually considered: a mutation to the physical appearance, a defect, or a snag, they’re considered undesirable. Yet, what does it mean when glitches are intentional? In this piece each tile is purposefully glitched and they are just a small piece of the whole.
